Hey blog friends…

So it’s been a while- on purpose. The last month or so for me has been incredible. The Lord has been doing some serious work on my heart. It has been a bit messy, but I feel like a different person today than I was even a few weeks ago. And that is a real, real good thing.

I’ll be sharing some more on the blog soon, but I’ve needed some space for a while to process a lot of what God has been doing in my life. I’ve been so blessed by great friends, co-workers and others in my life as I’ve been wrestling with some cool things. And on the other side I’m excited about the puzzle pieces coming together in a cool way .

On another note.. I am leaving Saturday with a plane full of 8th graders and their parents to go serve at one of North Point’s partner churches in Merida, Mexico called Shalom Church. I sent out some prayer requests today and wanted to share them here… and if you feel led to pray for our team over the next week I know we would all covet that.

Here are the prayer requests…

Thanks again for your prayer and financial support to help our team. We leave this Saturday morning on our mission trip and I wanted to share some specific things you can be praying about if the Lord brings our team to your mind over the next week. Our team is made up of 8th grade students and one of their parents. Most of our team is guys. One of the biggest prayer requests is that the families really have a great chance to serve together and connect in a new way over this time of serving. We are hoping God uses this trip to really do something special in the relationships of the families on the trip.

Saturday-
Travel Day- pray for safe travel, patience, and flexibility. Pray that God would be preparing our hearts for the week ahead.
Check in at hotel and meeting with the parents- Pray that my meeting with the parents on our team goes well and paves the path for a smooth week or working and serving each other

Sunday
Going to Shalom Church- Pray that we love and serve their staff and attenders well
Going to Chicken Itza (Mayan Ruins)… pray that as we tour this place God would expand our hearts to how big He is
Team time- pray for our team devo at night as we prepare for the week ahead

Monday-Tuesday
We’ll be doing construction in the hot morning/afternoon- pray for strength, patience, and endurance, also pray for the guys we will be working with, our first team did a great job of loving on and building relationships with them, we are hoping to take that further.
At night we’ll be doing VBS for some kids at a church Shalom is helping out. Pray for our team to lead well, have fun and show the love of Christ to those we get a chance to serve.

Wednesday
Going to the beach in the morning- pray for that to be a good time of recovery and fun
Doing VBS at night again…finishing up tonight- pray we finish this well. Our team is all involved in doing either a game, craft and Bible story each night.

Thursday
Construction in the morning…
Touring Merida in the afternoon- pray for a great time of learning the culture and seeing God work in a different place through the eyes of the local church there.

Friday
Construction wrap up in the morning
Going to the “Cuzame Sikhol” which is an underground sinkhole… which is really cool place. Pray for the trip there and fun as we play in the water and sinkhole.
Having a team debrief at night with a cool team wrap up time. Pray that God would be revealing some cool things He is starting to teach us as a result of our time in Merida.

Saturday
Travel Day- pray for safe travel home, easy flow through customs and a good re-introduction back home, that we would not lose what God does in our hearts and lives while we are there.

Thanks again for your prayers and support. I know God will use them to help sustain us on this journey!
