HALT!

HALT! DISMOUNT AND BE RECOGNIZED
This is my first book. Crazy, I know. It’s been out a little over a year and I’m constantly stunned by how God is using it. I wrote it for several reasons- to give small groups some content to kick start discussion, to share many of the things God continues to teach me and to take simple truth and let it do what it does… change lives. Now, I not either insane enough or smart enough to think that I’m good enough to change a life through my words. But I hope that these words can point whoever reads it to Someone who can. True story.
The book is about 3 parts of our journey. (Those 3 would would be halt, dismount and be recognized.) I hope that in reading you’ll laugh, maybe get a bit emotional and find yourself in the pages. I also hope that you’ll see a thread of how an incredible God wants to be a part of our everyday life.
The 2nd book is currently in process. The content take a bit of turn from HALT, but is written in a similar format. And at some point there is a 3rd book working it’s way out of my heart and into my brain. So I guess this is going to be a part of my life, and I’m cool with that.
Here’s the “copy” for the first book… which is fancy speak for what the back cover says to help give you and idea about the book.
“Exploring the collision of everyday life and an incredible God.”
Daily life can seem so…well.daily. Ordinary. Mundane. Yet the Bible tells us that God is always with us. Somehow, in our ordinary, everyday stuff, there is a collision with the divine. But how can we see God in our everyday, ordinary and sometimes boring life? How can we learn about Him as we walk through this journey? Sometimes it helps to have a tour guide. That’s where I come in. This book is a peek into my life. My ordinary, daily life. And as I share with you how I’ve seen God on the journey, maybe it’ll help you see Him a little better in your daily life too.
